I'm a single woman of a particular age. My life is busy and fast paced. I was always making excuses about working out, but I knew I needed to changed my lifestyle. I started my fitness journey in Jan 2016. At that time, I join the gym and only did the cardio classes that were offered. I met Melissa while attending some of the classes that she instructed. After a few months, I approached her about personal training. I began training with Melissa in Aug 2016. This is when my real fitness journey took off! She has pushed me in so many different ways. My body didn't start to transform until I begin training with her. I've learned proper exercise form and workouts I never knew before. I learned how to make better nutritional choices and eat to fuel my body. I've learned how to count...Lol (yes count)! I have trained twice a week with her since then, and even when she's kicking your butt its always in a positive way. I've recommended her to others, as I'm always getting compliments on how much by body has changed.

I started working out with Melissa because I was going on vacation for my anniversary and after 7 years of marriage and 2 kids I wanted to look as good, if not better then I did on my wedding day. She has helped me achieve my goals and so much more! I look better now, at the age of 36, then I ever have! I now feel extremely confident in a bikini or a pair of short shorts.
She has taught me that looking and feel good requires eating healthy and working hard in the gym. She had helped me eat and chose the right foods for my body type. Melissa also pushes me harder then I ever thought I could go with any type of physical activity!
The changes she has made in my diet, have changed they way I look at food. I used to eat a piece of pizza and “think well I worked out today, this can't be that bad for me”. Now, I count my calories and I realize if I am going to waste my calories on something that isn't good for me it better be worth it. Eating better has also helped my husband lose weight as well.
I know a lot of women go get their nails done, get their hair done, buy new clothes, etc. However I pay for training and time with Melissa. This is one thing that I do for myself. It is my splurge. It not only helps me feel good about myself but I am showing my children how to live a healthy lifestyle.
