Does your weight tend to come right back after losing it? Do you lose your drive? Is your partner motivating you in your journey?
Meet Sean Horner
This is our story. How we met, our triumphs, and how far we’ve come. Everyone’s story is different. Every couple has ups and downs and in-betweens. But, ours is my favorite. We took it slow and got to really know each other first. I don’t think either one of us knew what was ahead as we were both recently out of relationships and working on ourselves. Now we’re happy, blended, in love, and in shape.

Life before real love
In his early years Sean had a lot of trials that made it difficult to stay on track. At one point weighing as much as 325 pounds. He had made some poor choices as most young people do. He worked graveyard shifts, ate Monster burritos, and slept, he was also a young father with a lot on his plate. All of which were a recipe for and unhealthy lifestyle.
What was the motivation?
“I realized how much you depend on your body when you need it most”
Sean lost 100 pounds, gained it back, put his foot down and amazingly lost another 100 pounds. When reflecting he realized that although he had changed his body, his mentality hadn’t changed. He got comfortable. Being healthy for others like children and significant others is great but you have to want it for yourself too. To be the best version of yourself. Nothing will change until you say “enough is enough”! Sean took a fight before he was ready to, with a man who was 30 pounds lighter. But he was losing because of a lack of cardio. He was winded while his opponent still went strong. That was his “enough is enough” moment.
Love and Fitness
Sean and Melissa met at a Fourth of July party wherein Melissa was being set up with another man. But, fate stepped in and she met Sean. They took their time getting to know each other and learned from each other. Both were dedicated to their families and fitness goals. Now as a couple they continue to grow together and teach each other new things. At one point Sean had surgery on his back that limited his mobility and that’s where Melissa came in to keep him moving, motivated and off his ass. Together they conquer whatever comes their way.
