Why Yoga?
“Yoga is not easy”
When you learn to allow yourself to slow your mind down and stretch, you’re still strengthening your body. Just thirty minutes of yoga will make an impact on your mental wellness. It allows you to listen to your body and forces you to slow down in such a busy world. And, as busy as we all are lately, this is definitely something we should be doing for ourselves. There are different options as to how to practice yoga too. A class is best but you can also do it at home, just find a video or program.
Weight loss benefits
A large majority of people are tired and unmotivated post covid. Some of us gained extra weight when the world shut down. And you cant just take a pill and lose the weight. Well, you can, but guarantee its coming right back after the pills have stopped. Are you planning on taking those pills for the rest of your life? No right? On the other hand, yoga creates a mind, body and soul connection that’s so important when it comes to mental and physical well being. Pills won’t make you feel healthier. That amazing feeling you get after a good workout won’t come from that pill either.
Mindset shift
There are a few quick things you can do everyday to start a mindset shift that’ll start your days on the right foot. First, think of something positive. Like how good your day will be, what you want out of your day, remember that one really good last minute day date you went on with your significant other that turned out amazing, or just think of your kids sweet laughter. Secondly, take five minutes for yourself to meditate, journal, or simply take a few deep breaths before you get up and take on your day. Before coffee and waking the kids up for school and breakfast. We all know how hectic mornings can be. You’ll start your days on a better note this way.
