Eat what baby eats
When Brittany had her first son in 2014 she realized just how bad her eating habits were. She decided she didn’t want her baby to consume all the things she was consuming so she changed her diet. Steamed veggies topped that list and before long her eating lifestyle had changed. She ate what baby ate. Not jars of baby food of course but the basic, healthy, sugar free things that you actually want in your body. “You begin to enjoy the natural flavors of food that you didn’t notice before”.
Sugar addiction
“Sugar is in everything”
Kids start their lives addicted to sugar! In fact, children 4-8 years old typically consume 50 pounds of sugar per year. Then we wonder why our kids have a hard time focusing and are getting diagnosed with ADHD. They’re burnt out from the sugar high they got from their cereal that morning and not taking in much info in class. Brittany decided to do a no-sugar challenge for a year and found out just how much sugar is in all foods. It’s in everything, even bacon. Read the labels. The sugar you should be most concerned about is the “added sugars” or the no-sugar sugars. A list of these and others to look out for are on her above mentioned website so that you can dodge some of those as you shop.
The Simply Sugar Free Cookbook
Some of the many issues caused by sugar are… A weakened immune system, inflammation, obesity, etc. etc. Brittany started creating her own sugar free recipes and wanted to make what her and her family were eating accessible to others. There are so many sugar free options out there. And that’s where her cookbook came into play. So that others can be sugar free and still settle those cravings with some sweet recipes. Did we mention 75% of the recipes in her book are gluten free? So check out her free list, try some of those delicious recipes, order yourself some sweet treats from her website and start your and your children’s healthier life.
