This week we did things a little different than usual. In this episode we reflect on the past years highlights, past episodes as well as last years difficulties. We’ll also go over what we’re doing to ourselves that is keeping us in that past year and keeping us from moving forward.
Today it’s me, Melissa. Reflecting, raw and ready to move forward with 2022! Last year was great for learning and growth. However, this year is for new amazing things. It all starts when we stop lying to ourselves and our bodies.

Last year brought a lot our way. Things started to open up again. People were getting out more and trying to live life like, well, their life! But we learned a lot from this year. And just how the world started to open up so did we. We really are so resilient. More than we give ourselves credit for and we should be proud.
For me it was getting through a divorce, moving out of my dream home, starting over and always keeping my kids first. I am a very positive person but life can come down on you pretty hard sometimes.
“You build something, you work so hard at it, and it doesn’t work. Its devastating.”
But there is always light at the end of that tunnel. My friends really kept me going. I clung to my workouts more than ever. And in the process found love.
Stop lying to yourself
We have to stop making unrealistic expectations for ourselves. New Year’s resolutions are an excellent start and we always mean well by them but even we don’t believe them sometimes. Neither do our bodies. We eat well for a week and then were back in the drive thru.
Maybe start easy. Every day give yourself three things you’re going to accomplish that day. E.g. Meditate, take the dog to the vet and clean one room. The things to keep in mind when transforming your body, mind, etc. 1. Decide 2. Set goals 3. Take action 4. Follow through.
