Have you been struggling with infertility? How many people do you know that are on that same boat? Is there hope for you if IUI is financially out of reach?
Meet Jennifer Hintzsche
Today I speak with Dr. Jennifer Hintzsche (Hinn-Chee) Ph.D. She’s is a wife, mother, innovator, and passionate advocate for women’s health. Dr. Jenn was diagnosed with unexplained infertility in 2017. This drove Hintzsche to being Northern Illinois University’s first recipient of a doctoral degree in bioinformatics (a field of study that combines computer science and biology). She is the author of about two-dozen peer-reviewed articles and was cited nearly 500 times in respected science journals.
Dr. Jenn invented and conceived her daughter using PherDal, the only sterile at-home insemination kit. She founded PherDal with a mission to provide every person with a safe and affordable fertility option backed by science, not fear.

Finding out you’re infertile
Not being able to conceive is a hard pill to swallow. Are you doing it wrong? Should you be trying different “strategies”? So, you go to the fertility doctor and what you thought the doctor might say but hoped wouldn’t becomes real. One or both of you is infertile. Now what? And do you have the funds to move forward? You aren’t alone, 1-in-8 couples struggle with infertility. Some people even get diagnosed with Unexplained Infertility. It’s when both parties come back normal but still can’t conceive. Then, you gear up for the insurance fight.
- Intrauterine insemination (IUI), when the female is ovulating, a sperm donation is put directly into the uterus.
- In vitro fertilization (IVF), the process of removing the eggs from a woman’s body, then an embryo is then created in a lab and when it’s ready, the embryo is placed into the uterus.
- Intracervical insemination (ICI), the method used by PherDal which deposits the donation at the entrance of the cervix.
There are different strategies and procedures to try and get pregnant. What works for one couple may not necessarily work for the other. And that’s why you should try PherDal first in the comfort of your own home.
PherDal Fertility Science makes a U.S. Food and Drug Administration-compliant, at-home intracervical insemination kit which consists of three sterilized syringes as well as an equal number of sperm collection cups as well as easy-to-follow instructions. The PherDal Kit is the only one of its kind in that comes with sterilized syringes. Most importantly, The sterile syringes help reduce the possibility of insemination failure due to interference from bacteria present in the vaginal microbiome.
