What you’re unknowingly doing to your face
“Only your pitts and bitts need soap”
Most of the body contains beneficial bacteria. Yes, even your face. Were trying to rid our faces of all bacteria with the face soaps we use. But, chemicals in normal skin care are hormone disruptors, liver detoxifiers, and they mess with your skin’s natural biome. Foaming cleansers have surfactants that leave microscopic splinters on your face which leads to dry patches that are hard to get rid of like Rosacea. The list goes on. We don’t even really have a skin “type”, thats marketing hype. It’s just an imbalance of your microbiome. Something as simple as organic olive oil is better for our face than soap.
What you’re putting into your mouth
Check out your toothpaste. Is Triclosan on the ingredients? Or the abbreviation for it TCS? Most importantly, ask yourself why Triclosan was banned from soaps yet its still found in some toothpastes (insert confused look here). Triclosan’s concerns include its impact on human reproduction and development, allergies, asthma, antibiotic and antimicrobial resistance.
How about mouthwash you may ask? Well, there are about 36,000 cases of oral cancer a year from mouthwashes with synthetic alcohol. What are we putting into our mouths??
