Did you heal, or are you only aware?
I want you to consider is it that you have healed, or is it that you have awareness? Awareness is not enough to equal a result and unfortunately … [people] have been trained … to give you awareness and that will not give you the result. (Mia Hewett)
Awareness is an important step but for so long it has been seen as the only step. Being aware of an issue is not all that it will take to resolve it, even though it has helped you to notice it. It takes a process with active choices and active intentions to set out new behaviors, which will give you new experiences which will then lead to healing, and awareness – even though important – is not the only thing you have to do.
You’ve got to be able to go from the awareness to then be able to clear the misunderstanding and misconceptions that are in the way to then being able to apply with a skillset – before you didn’t have the skill because the trauma blocks it – to apply the correct skillset to then achieve new experiences and then the new experiences are what is going to give you the new results. The results are a byproduct of new experiences.
The root cause is in the emotions
All of that, that trauma, whatever the trauma was, will literally create all the patterns, all the discord, all the resistance … of why you are not really thriving … comes from the original trauma. (Mia Hewett)
There is a powerful connection, or disconnection, between logic and emotions. In reality, you could be running a successful business, or be building a strong and capable body, but if your emotions do not line up with your reality then it can fall apart. Even though you are successful, or strong, if you do not believe it or feel it yourself you run the risk of working yourself into the ground because you are not able to look up and notice how far you have actually come, and how much you have achieved.
This is how unresolved trauma can backfire later in life. A person carries around these limiting mindsets that they were not even aware of and it blocks them from truly connecting with their present moment and their successes, and keeps them stuck in where they used to be. Freeing the ego and releasing the inner negative narrative provides you with the freedom to pursue your life. To do this, you release the past trauma wherefrom your ego was created.

Ask for what it is that you need. Own the fact that the ability to ask what you need help with is not a form of weakness but of incredible character strength. Put this into curiosity when you phrase your questions. Create your ask in curiosity because it gives you the power to ask more, delegate the answers well and that will free you up to be the successful woman you aspire to be.
