I don’t care how you feel, I care about what you want. I care about your goals and how I am going to help you get to those goals.
Do not get activity confused with progress
Getting up and going to the gym every day, doing a spin class, putting on some lululemon leggings… All of these things are activities, they are not progress. This pretty painful to hear and admit to.
What is progress?
It’s your tracking, making sure you are on the right path, and getting coached and trained by someone who knows more than you.
Showing up and riding that hamster wheel is only going to get you so far. And you’re probably stuck in a rut and burn the same amount of calories every time you do a class. If you really want to make changes, you can not just show up at your spin class a couple of times a week.
Just because you’re active doesn’t mean you’re going to make progress
This is something you need to think about. Do you want to make a change? Are you ready to be committed and take a stand? Where is the progressive overload?
Progressive overload is when you’re lifting weights and each week or every 2 weeks, you’re making sure you’re doing a little bit more.
What you need
- Accountability
- A plan to follow that you know you’re progressing with
- A coach/mentor that knows more than you
